Interdisciplinary experience
Intersectional expertise
My intersectional expertise stems from my experience as a speaker, expert, and affected individual who has intensively engaged with societal and structural power relations. I now apply this knowledge to contextualize technological trends intersectionally, critically examine power structures, and develop constructive counter-strategies to create room for action.
Selected stages of my speaking career include:
Afro.Messe & Afro.Pean, Frankfurt
Opening speech and IT workshop on empowering young people in digitalization and AI. (2023/24)
Visions of a post-racist society, Freiburg
Panel presentation on structural racism in Germany with reference to intersectional lived realities. (2019)
In*vision – Seminar & Festival, Berlin
Workshop on spoken word art as a form of resistance and mediation within BIPOC communities. (2021)
Panel discussion on Muslim.Feminist.Invisible, Freiburg
Panel discussion on the self-perception and external perception of Muslim women. (2018)
On the Matter of Blackness in Europe, UCLA

Institutional education
2017-2020
Master of Arts,
Digital Humanities
Johannes Gutenberg University and Mainz University of Applied Sciences
In my Master's program "Digital Humanities," I learnt to combine technological methods with humanities and an interdisciplinary approach. The technical focus was on programming fundamentals (Java, Python), data analysis, GIS, network analysis, and digital visualization techniques.
My interdisciplinary studies provided me with both digital analytical skills and a critical understanding of how technologies structure, analyze, and visualize knowledge. Combined with perspectives from social and cultural studies, I developed an analytical approach to digital technologies that always considers technological innovation within the context of social structures and power relations.
2014-2017
Bachelor of Education,
Educational Sciences, English and Philosophy
Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz
During my bachelor's studies in English and Philosophy, I focused on educational processes, questions of belonging, and individual competence development. The central theme was how people acquire knowledge, develop their orientation, and unfold their abilities in different social contexts.
In addition, I have explored intersectional perspectives on education and social marginalization. This involved analyzing structural inequalities and their impact on educational and employment contexts. This perspective continues to shape my approach of considering technological developments, access to knowledge, and social participation together.
